Do I need to update the bios for this?

Hello!
I got an asus t200ta, with windows 10 32 bit. I wanna restore it back to 8.1 64 bit, as a few of my programs won't run on 32 bit. But when I try to install it (from my sandisk usb stick) I get an error saying my cpu only supports 32 bit. It also gave me an error code, I don't have it on screen anymore, but it was something like 0xc800035a (can't remember it exactly, once I get the code again I will let you know what it exactly was. Anyway, will updating the bios be able to solve the issue? I currently am running on the first release.

That's not going to happen until you replace the existing UEFI firmware that is compiled in IA-32 (i.e. Intel Architecture, 32-bit) mode with one that is compiled in x64 mode.

If I select the bios in the windows 8.1 64 bit drivers, do I then download the x64 bios? And if not, can you tell me how to get a x64 uefi/bios?

If ASUS never offered an x64 version of the UEFI for the Transformer Book T200TA then you're out of luck.

You can try asking ASUS.
