What's your recommendation for Nvidia Control panel?

Hey guys, so I recently installed the newest Nvidia drivers and wiped out my global settings. I forgot to write them down so now I'm trying to figure out what I had (no it wasn't default)

I got a GTX 1070 with 32gb of RAM running everything on pretty much ultra on a 1080p monitor.

What do you guys recommend my settings to be? I love everything to be as high quality as I can. Performance isn't an issue with that kind of card so should I stick with performance or quality??? Would kindly appreciate what you guys run. Thanks alot.

I would recommend default global settings and set profiles for each game using the Program Settings tab. Reason being quite often each game benefits from different settings.

There are sites to refer to that offer workarounds for games with poor optimization, like PCGamingWiki. Cranking up Global Settings isn't going to do any good for games that have really bad Vsync, or need Triple Buffering enabled, and some games cap their AF to 8x or less, while others don't.

Furthermore, Nvidia Control Panel isn't even useful for certain settings in some games. For instance some games with crappy vsync will not allow vsync from NCP, so it has to be forced in Nvidia Inspector.

Lastly, do no trust GeForce Experience auto optimization feature. All it does is go by a database of user feedback on settings which may or may not work. It's more of a quick convenience feature than an effective tool. It's for those whom don't know how to tweak settings or are too lazy to read guides on it.

Nvidia Inspector has built in profiles for tons of games, and once you find the game in the list and click Apply, it adds driver level tweaks for SLI and frame rate smoothing to optimize performance.
