Hi guys,
I've got a ryzen 5 1600 with the stock cooler and while I was playing a game I checked hwinfo and it showed me that one of the cores was at 90% even 100% load. The load on the rest of the cores was low and cpu temperature was 40°c - 50°c both in hwinfo and Ryzen master.
I should mention that my gpu is a hd 7950 (I was thinking that the gpu is to blame considering the fact that it'a a pretty old card).
Is this something normal and if not what do you advice me to do?

Solution
It's completely normal. CPU's are smart and dynamically switch CPU usage per core whilst on the fly. The game you were playing wouldn't have been very demanding and only uses a single core for max usage in game.

If you played something like BF1, you would see maybe 4 cores getting close to max, with other cores/threads hitting about 40-50% usage. Again, this is normal and is how the cores/threads are used.

You could run something like cinebench, to bring all cores up to 100%. It all depends on what app/software your using.

Thank you very much for your answers.
I was playing Wolfenstein TNO and just few other programs running, gameplay was smooth 60fps, but I was worried something is off with my cpu.
I will install cpu-z anyway. :)
Thanks again!
