Hey guys,

So my router is in the living room and my PC is in my bedroom (3 bedrooms + 1 living room roommate apartment) and I need a network solution for that.
Network over powerline won't work since my bedroom and the living room are not on the same electrical phase and I can rearrange them, the landlord won't let me.
My option atm are -

1) Google Wi-Fi (mesh), recieve Wi-Fi at 5Ghz from my router and connect with an ethernet cable to my PC
2) A ASUS 4x4 802.11AC Wireless-AC3100 PCIe Adapter (PCE-AC88)
3) A Razer Portal Mesh Wi-Fi Router

What would you use?

PC Setup:
Intel i7-4770k
MSI Gaming Mother Board GD65 Z87
MSI Gaming GeForce GTX 770 4GB
2x8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR 2133Mhz
Seasonic Gold PSU 1050W
Intel M.2 SSD (256GB) - for games
OCZ Vortex SSD (128GB) - for OS.

Thanks in advance!!

Since option 1 requires an ehternet connection, why not just run one to the existing router and avoid the extra expense?

BTW - 5ghz has shorter range then 2.4 so that may be an issue with your roomamates if you go for a 5ghz only solution.
