Hi

I've got a problem with my HDD - 1TB WDC Black - WDC WD1003FZEX-00MK2A0. This drive is used as storage for MediaCache and ScratchDisk during video editing and rendering. Crystal Disk Info showed me this: https://i.imgur.com/AksaXSo.png

I've checked with other programs and here's where the problem starts:
- Scan Disk (every block size - Block Size 256kB, 64kb i 512 bytes [17 hours]) with Active@ Hard Disk Monitor shows Bad Block count 0: https://i.imgur.com/qk43PAv.png?1
- Error Scan (Full and Quick Scan) with HD Tune 2.55 shows that every block is OK: https://i.imgur.com/oDiD7rb.png
- Windows 7 & 10 ScanDisk doesn't find any problem with this drive

But every program above (- ScanDisk) also shows that the C6 Uncorrectable Sector Count has a Raw Value of 2. (also checked this with GSmartControl).

So is it reasonable to create a support ticket for this drive, send it to WD and hope that they will replace it with a new one? The drive is still in Limited Warranty (according to https://support.wdc.com/warranty/warrantystatus.aspx ) until next year. But if the supports will do pretty much the same like me with maybe different tools they might decide that the drive is good and will reject the service ticket, and they will just send back the same disk to me (or I don't know, they might use some internal drive software to reset the SMART values and say that the software I used had to be bugged :) ). So I'll just waste time, cash (for transport) and risk that the drive might get actually damaged in transport.

What do you suggest? Should I try to create a ticket or maybe use the disk and observer the Raw Value for some time (like I said, the drive warranty ends next years so there is still some time) and send the drive when the Raw Value will go up or any of the software I used will actually show a bad block?

Thanks.

Oh, didn't know that. Wherever I read about that value it was mentioned that "if disk is on warranty -> don't wait, send it and wait for a replacement"...

None that I noticed.

Ok, good to know, saves me the hassle atm :) So I'll just use the disk like I've used it before and monitor if anything happens.

Thanks.
