Hi,what boot mode do I need for an ssd for the os and some games and hdd for storage only?it's a laptop
the ssd will be on the internal sata port and the hdd will be on the dvd writer slot
I made a bios update(I was dumb and was encouraged by lenovo too...) and I had to change boot mode to legacy(it seems faster for some reason)and disabled secure boot
Do I need to tweak the bios so the ssd and hdd can work?

Solution
BOOT mode as in UEFI/Legacy ? It doesn't matter if you are installing windows and let them choose the way to install. For UEFI, it needs to set in GPT and legacy in MBR mode, It will chose to make partitions accordingly and NTFS for C: partition. Just keep old disk out or disabled while installing windows.
