I just built a bit of a frankenstein pc.

I basically took the RAM, CPU, Mobo and Wifi card out of an HP Pavilion p7 1235 case and put them into a Dell 3000 case, also put in a new 2TB Seagate Barracuda XT 2 HDD.

Motherboard: MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine)
CPU/AMU: AMD A8-5500
RAM: 8 gb ddr3
PSU: random 300 watt psu (came with the case).

The hard drive is blank, so I'm just trying to boot from a disc and install. I know the disc works (I just installed windows on about 10 machines with it), but I thought maybe it was scratched or something so I burnt the ISO again, but all it does is load the HP logo, then immediately goes to a black screen with a flashing white cursor. The cd spins up then stops after a couple minutes.

I know the disc drive is working, and so is the HDD, because if I try to install Windows 7 Pro N SP1 x64 (note the 'N' in this version of windows), then the windows install screen pops up as expected. What is going on?
