Best settings for Mirrors Edge Catalyst for GPU with 2gb vram?

My monitor is 1080p and I have a gtx 960 2gb, but I've heard this game runs better in the 4gb variant. What's the highest possible settings I should choose to get stable 60fps with my current GPU?

Why don't you just try and determine it yourself? Run the game, see what settings get you good FPS, and use those. If you don't want to tinker too much, select whatever preset gets you 60 FPS, simple as that. You can use Fraps to measure the FPS you are getting.

I would, but don't want to spoil myself now if I can't play in satisfying settings without upgrading the GPU.

Just start with the lowest and work your way up then. That way you'll expect the lowest, but you might get medium, which would make you happy. And even if you get low, that still means it meets expectations. Win-win.
