So I am upgrading from my ASUS B350M-PLUS and Pentium G4400 to a Ryzen 5 2600x and I'm wondering if I should get an x370 or an x470, what are the differences?

I live in Norway and here the MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon is 170$ and an MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon is 218$.

There are no major differences between x370 and x470 except the x470 is 2600x ready, straight out of the box. The x370 being first generation Ryzen chipset, might need a BIOS update for the 2nd gen. Ryzen 2600x. Other than that, the x470 chipset is more refined in terms of higher memory bandwidth support and runs more stable with OCed RAM.
Other than that, they are more or less similar... https://www.pcworld.com/article/3175005/computers/amd-ryzen-motherboards-explained-the-crucial-differences-in-every-am4-chipset.html
