I agree that the newer boards are better. But if twenty bucks is the difference in price, and that puts it out of your budget for some reason, then keep in mind that the older boards will work but as mentioned you'll have to deal with the headache of updating the bios if it hasn't already been done, in order to support the newer CPUs.
That might mean taking it to a repair shop that has an older CPU so they can update the bios for you or sending it in to the manufacturer, both of which cost money. For shipping if nothing else. Just makes more sense to buy a newer board unless you are sourcing the board used.
