Could anyone provide any help in whether I can upgrade this graphics card and if so what would be compatible. This is for my son’s pc so that he can play better games, sorry I am not that technical.
Thanks

Ideally, you'd want the 1050. The 750 Ti is basically the 2014 version of that level of gaming card, it's a bit slower but still capable of handling games that A8 can run.

Be aware that certain newer games require plenty of CPU power as well as videocard power. For instance, I think your son would see better performance in Fortnite rather than PUBG, assuming a battle royale game is what he wants to play. Overwatch is another CPU friendly game, while Assassin's Creed Origins is not.

Considering the inflated prices of new cards, a 750 Ti might be the best value assuming you can find a decent price on a used one. Just be careful, there are fake ones being sold. They'll take an old GTX 5xx series card, repackage it and maybe alter the bios, then sell them as 750s. Check that the CUDA cores, memory bandwidth, and memory bus size all match Nvidia's official specs listed on the 750 Ti's spec page.
