Hello,

For the past week, my internet doesn’t seem to work for me, but it works for the other PCs within my home. Both, one laptop and one desktop, are wireless and mines, a desktop, uses a powerline ethernet adaptor.

Before getting the laptop, both desktops seem to work fine. But after the laptop was here, the laptop and wireless desktop seemed to have internet and not mine for some reason.

I’ve researched and tried everything to help solve it. I went to the command prompt, on admin, and typed all the iconfig commands and any other commands and reset, Restarting my internet router handful of times, Updated and uninstalled my driver, unplugged my computer a bit, and etc. Nothing seemed to work out. My router and modem seemed to be alright and have good internet.

Please Help!

Are you sure one adapter is connected to an internet source (e.g. router) through an Ethernet cable, and the other adapter is connected to your PC with an Ethernet cable?

Are the two adapters on different power circuits? They won't work if circuits are separated and not connected together.

Any powerline issues within your household? Interferences within your household or neighbours households? Get an electrician to check for any problems.

1. Yes, my Ethernet cable/powerline adaptor is connected to my PC.

2. No, both powerline adaptors are on separate circuits, but they did work previously. I don’t know if it’s because of my wireless desktop that caused it. I also can’t have two powerlines on the same circuit since my router is upstairs and my desktops downstairs.

3. Well I only have one powerline which is the one connecting my pc to router. My powerline still works, it’s just everytime my wireless desktop turns on, my internet is gone.
