Need a thinish CPU fan replacement that is compatible with a vertical GPU

I'm looking for a stronger CPU heatsink that will replace my aging 212 Evo the only issue is that my GPU is mounted vertically. (To hopefully extend the lifespan of Zotacs pitiful GPU fans.)
I was looking into the NH D15 but I don't think it will fit width wise.

Oh also no liquid cooling if that's a possibility I don't have much room for it but if its RGB and syncs with gigabytes RGB tech then I'll look into it

Your graphics card is in a non traditional position.
With the 212, you have at least 160mm height available.
There are a number of noctua options possibly available.
The NH-D15 has been redesigned with an offset to clear graphics cards mounted in the first pcie slot.
I do not know if that is enough to do the job for you.
Here is the Noctua TDP guide with dimensions.
You may find a cooler that will fit.

A better cooler similar to the 212 may be the scythe kotetsu.
It seems to perform better than the 212 in this review; look at the end charts

NH-D15 does not even fit inside your case, it's too tall. NH-D15S (not NH-D15) is the one with the offset and will fit inside your case. I don't know if it will fit with your GPU or not, but it is offset to the top away from the GPU, so there is hope.

i need a cpu cooler that is 120mm wide or less like the 212 evo

Then you're limited to 120mm coolers full stop.

The issue there is that quite simply there isn't another cooler that will fit that is massively better than the 212.

2-3c better at best.

Not sure why you'd think having the gpu mounted that way would be better for temps or for the fans in all honesty ??

On the Zotac 1080 mini both fans started to grind (at different times I had to RMA the GPU twice because the grinding was VERY annoying) when they were horizontally mounted but when I set my case on its side the grinding stopped. when I rma'd the second time I requested that I receive 1080 amp instead of the mini.
(srsly don't buy Zotac GPUs the first fan died after about a year of use >.>)

Maybe I should just replace the fan on the 212 Evo for a quieter one and maybe add a second as well anyone knows of any possibly?

Edit: Would the CRYORIG H7 work in this situation and can I add a second fan to it easily?

Also, I just noticed the massive error a made I don't want the pc to be cooler the temps are fine(and I don't really care about a massive overclock either my GPU is the bottleneck in my system) I just want it to be quieter.

Yeah, I might just replace the current fan with 2 quieter ones I just don't know what fans are compatible and how I would attach them to the fan.
should I just make another post?

EDIT: I found the 2 adapters that you're supposed to use to hook up a second fan I actually had a 120mm case fan that I tried to work with the adapter and it didn't work how am i supposed to know which fans are compatible

BeQuiet Silentwings 3 are very quiet and apart from looking a whole lot better than the Noctua, will have better affects on the motherboard. One of the advantages of aircoolers is bleed air, that's air that escapes out the sides of the heatsink and helps keep the VRM's and other voltage regulatory circuitry surrounding the heatsink cool. Important for OC or heavy use purposes. The NF-F12 is a focus flow design, great for radiators as the air cone is very tight, almost 90°. This makes for maximum air through the heatsink, very little bleed. Adding a second fan will drop cpu temps Mebe 2-3°C under loads, but is even worse for bleed air as the 2nd fan draw keeps it centered in the heatsink.

A better fan for that cooler, from Noctua, would be the NF-P12 or the new NF-A12X25, which is just as silent, but isn't focus flow, so has a broader cone.

And I'd still not use a second fan as either of the Noctua will outperform the stock CM 212 fan.
