Hello sir ,
I am getting problems while connecting two routers??
1) main router (connected with ISP)-- (DIGICOM Z-series z-2.1)
2) wifi repeater Router (product name not specified only written as wifi repeater)
The problems occurs when i have connected wifi repeater wirelessly to the main router digicom.
since the main router has got default gateway of 192.168.10.1 and the wifi repeater also has got same gateway of 192.168.10.1 . After connection of both the routers ,I dont get any way to enter there routers page.

before connecting wifi repeater with the main router i am getting internet access ,internet is working smoothly but when i just connect repeater it says NO INTERNET ACCESS
.....For further if i go to network and internet setting after connection of both routers, the main router name changed into UNIDENTIFIED NETWORK and in this way i came to get no internet connection from the both the router . please sir help as soon as poosible . i want to get used of this both the router .

thanks for the reply night owl !!
the main thing is that i cannot change extender default gateway !!
there are two mode on wifi repeater !! 1) AP mode 2) repeater mode

when i use AP mode! i can goto the setting of wifi repeater 192.168.10.1 and provide the username and password (when not connected with main router) and there is option saying lan in which the default gateway is wriiten !! so by default there is 192.168.10.1 and i can change it to any address like ..192.168.10.2 or 192.168.111.111 anything ...and it even works after changing.

but when i click on repeater mode !! it directly take me to the wifi network selection page (wifi which i want to extend) and after selection of network !! any name can be given for ssid but the password remains as the main router .....and thats it !! there is finish button....clicking on it make 0% to 100% and boom the wifi repater is established with no internet access

and after this i cannot go to wifi repeater page for the change of deault gateway !! i donot know where i am lacking... :( help !! :( :(

There are few thinks you probably doing wrong-

1. Is there are DHCP enable on both router and repeater ?
2. Why dont set the repeater on WSD protocol ? (if it has it).
3. Check if your repeater have option to connect via WiFi for Internet access or need to be wired some of them dont have option wifi to wifi. Without repeater specific model we cant help you further.
This is not hard setup, but still required some experience with L2 from OSI model.

thanks for response kiril !!
first of all !! this wifi repeater can be connected to wifi to wifi !!
second--i dont see that option WSD protocol
third !! i even dont know the device model because it only has the name wifi repeater written inside the router page as well as on the outside of the repeater!! lol !!

for more detail understanding --this below is the link for the video ! the same wifi repeater i have been using right now !!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOkiKDUr37s

latest news : just now i have been gone to my friend house for testing of wifi repeater. my friend has got DLINK router whose default gateway is 192.168.1.1
so without wasting time !! i just pluged wifi repeater gone to the setting of wifi repeater router page clicked on repeater mode and selection of wifi done (friend wifi) and filled password !! and thats it !! i am getting internet access ! but still i am unable to go the setting of wifi repeater page after connected wirelessly with DLINK router but i can goto the setting of DLINK router 192.168.1.1 from wifi repeater.

again when i came to my house done same steps as i have done on my friend house !! now again i am not getting internet access !!

i think there is conflict in between default gateway of my main router and wifi repeater !! what to do now !! :( :(

the wifi repeater doesn't have a gateway. only routers do.

the ip address is just to view the webpage. change this and it should fix it.

You could also try changing the gateway on the main router. you might have mac table problems, due to the old devices having an entry for the mac of the repeater web page.
