Not sure if this is the best place to post, but as the title says, I was installing the new nvidia driver and now geforce experience has stopped responding. I don't want to close it because it was uninstalling my old driver. What should I do?

Windows 7 or windows 10?
Which version of windows 10?

Just before you do all, re-download the drivers again to rule out possibility of corrupted download.

Im quite sure that you can install drivers for GPU in safe mode, for windows 7 just force restart your PC, for windows 10 use "Shift+Restart" method then install drivers into safe mode

Tutorial for windows 8,8.1,10 safe mode -> https://www.digitalcitizen.life/4-ways-boot-safe-mode-windows-10

If it still doesnt wanna to install, with this method you're gonna lose Nvidia control panel, but you can try to reinstall the Geforce experience.

Type in start Device manager, after window pops up, under Display adapters (click on -> to expand), then right click on Microsoft basic, or whatever its saying, right click then update, browse, then browse again and find the unpacked Nvidia Geforce folder and tick "Include Subfolders", after you have done that click next and it has to install and finish.
Then double check that the drivers are installed.
