I will buy a new setup next month should i go with ryzen 5 2600 or core i5 8400 ? (i will use specially adobe premiere - after effects - davinci resolve)
Note that if i go with ryzen i will use a gt 710 graphics card as a temporary solution until i get a better card and if i go with intel i will use the integrated gpu.

Solution
Ryzen should be good, but Resolve does all its image processing in GPU, so the best GPU you can afford is always recommended and certainly with high GPU RAM if you are working on anything higher than HD.
The CPUs are used for decoding and encoding compressed files and not image processing. In this case, and for the general operation of Resolve, we are multithreaded so having more CPU cores is generally preferable. Many content creators use dual 18 core systems and Resolve uses all the real and virtual cores well.
