Hello,

I have a very annoying problem. I have a UPS (i have it for 2+ years but i have replaced the battery before 7-8 months) and while i am in gaming (it happened 2 times in last week) it cuts the output power and cause pc shut down. It makes a continuously beeeeeep until i push UPS' on-off button and then its fine again.

The electricity in house is fine while this happen. Only the UPS fail for no reason.

Test: I cut the power off (to test battery) and it works just fine. So battery is fine.

Maybe this means that when in full load (both 2 times failed while in gaming) it is old and overheated? I live in Greece and now in summer we have high temperatures. In last summer i had the same UPS but an 8year old PC. Maybe this PC with high temperature of summer cause this? Probably a problem in UPS mainboard?

UPS can handle 630watt. My PC (8700k-RX 580-16GB RAM-PSU 750Watt-2 HDD) + Monitor (LED 24") + Speakers (5.1) must be around 450-530watt max!(Calculate it in a website)

Sorry for my english.

I will wait your answers :)

Hello, and thanks for your reply.
Yes, my UPS is 1050VA. "Powertech" must be a Greek manufacturer because i dont find it on amazon. Check here: http://

Read your UPS' manual to find out what the beep is about in the troubleshooting section. I'm suspecting that the UPS did a self-test while you were using the PC and the battery wasn't able to supply enough power to keep your PC running through the test.

It has only this:
-Alarm continuously sounds when the mains is normal = The UPS is overload.

But i used it to my new PC for 6 months. Also it don't just sounds alarm, but it shut down. I will try and talk with the manufacturer.
