i have a question about a gpu
my pc specs are
ASRock ASRock Fatal1ty Gaming Fatal1ty Z97 Killer
SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM 550mw
i7 4790k 4.00ghz
16g ram corsair vengance
what would be a good gpu for me to get that my motherboard and power supply could support i can upgrade power supply if need be

Solution
Most adapted Graphics for your CPU/RAM configuration is a GTX 1070 with only 4% estimated CPU bottleneck (CPU holding back graphic performance) with an approximate 410 Watt load power requirement and a 450 watt PSU recommendation which your PSU satisfies largely not to mention it has very good reviews. It is also advised to have an SSD as boot drive to work harmoniously with GPU/CPU Ram.
Your PSU is of good quality and could theoretically handle a GTX 1080ti (511 watt load estimate) which GPU performance will be partially wasted because of a higher processor bottleneck estimate. A GTX 1060 6 GB would run without any CPU bottleneck.

The graphics card have GDDR5 VRAM, which is completely independent of your system RAM (which would be DDR3). So no issue.

I'm skeptical of any 'bottleneck calculator', given how much a bottleneck can vary by game/resolution/settings. You could have a bottleneck with a 1070 if you're playing at 1080p and high fps, whereas you would probably have little to no bottleneck if you're playing at 1440p. You also probably wouldn't have much of a bottleneck with a 1080 Ti if you're playing at 4K.

Graphic card Memory is completely contained to the graphic card hardware itself and is totally independent from system memory, so no incompatibility there to fear.
I cited Bottleneck as ESTIMATOR as bottle-necking depends on many factors (CPU/system overclock, gaming resolution, game title and settings)

The fact that it depends on so many factors is why I don't believe a single average bottleneck percentage (i.e. 4%) estimate is useful. If the OP tells us what resolution and fps they are aiming for, and maybe some of the games they play (as well as their budget) it would allow us to come up with a more accurate and tailored recommendation for what card to get.
