UPS or Surge Protector?

Hello, I'm finishing my PC and I would like to add some extra protection because the electricity at my place isn't the best. I'm not really interested in having power minutes after a blackout, but I'm really interested in protecting my equipment.

I will plug two things in the UPS/Surge Protector:
- PC with Corsair RM750x (i7 8700, SSD, Only one GPU in the future, GTX1080 or GTX1170)
- ASUS PG279Q

I currently own an Anker surge protector (https://www.anker.com/products/variant/powerport-strip-6-outlet-4-usb-port/A2764121)

Well, my questions are:
- I'm safe with the Anker?
- Would be better to get an APC surge protector? Which one? Any recomendations?
- Does UPS protect better? Or only adds the battery?

I've access to APC products here and the pure sine wave UPS is really expensive, so I was wondering to purchase only a really good surge protector.

I truly appreciate the answers and the time to elaborate them.
Thanks.

Purchase the UPS only if you frequently have intermittent electricity issues. If this is rarely the case, just go with surge protection.
I wouldn't just purchase any generic surge protector. Purchasing a name brand like APC likely comes with a warranty that will protect equipment up to a certain amount of financial damage, which is what you're looking for.

Do you live in a place with frequent black outs or brown outs (e.g. you can see your lights dimming or flickering), and/or do you use your PC for important things such that you can't afford the risk of data loss in the event of an outage? The get a UPS. If you just want to protect your PC against surges, a good surge protector is fine.
