I just had an upgrade to my system and I'm wondering what will be the better decision for my GPU predicament.

Will I wait for the new lineup by Nvidia or just bite the bullet and get a new 10 series card?

Here are my specs to help you guys out.

CPU: I5-8400(with stock cooler)
Mobo: ASUS ROG B360 G-Gaming
RAM:8GB Kingston HyperX Fury 2400mhz
GPU:Zotac GTX 1050ti OC edition
HDD: 1 1TB WD Blue & 1 1TB Toshiba HDD
Case: Deepcool Tesseract

No SSD yet, but I'll be looking to buy one once I have the time.

Thanks in advance.

Depends really on what you want to achieve.

As it stands, you have a solid 1080p 60hz system, that can drive most games at med-high at that res. The thing holding you back a little as you pointed out is the GPU. With another 8gb of ram, and your i5 8400 (which is an awesome gaming chip for the price, and runs an 8600k close too!) plus a better GPU, you would rock most games at most resolutions for a couple of years.

The advise on GPU/CPU upgrades is normally to go two tiers above where you are. In this case something like a GTX1070/1080, Vega 64. If you only intend on gaming at 1080p 60hz, they are wasted, and you could get a GTX1060/1070. If on the other hand you wanna game at 1080p 144hz, 1440p you need something more powerful like a 1080/ti (res dependant)

Considering videocard prices, you're better off staying with what you have for now. Assuming it's 1080p gaming, you're too close to 1060 performance to make a new videocard worth it right now.

An SSD will make your computer more responsive overall, and games will load faster assuming you install them on the SSD, but actual game performance won't benefit.

Without knowing what you're trying to achieve, it's tough to suggest anything specific.

I forgot to tell what I was aiming for gaming wise, sorry for that.

I'm looking to aim for a solid gaming performance preferably around 80+ FPS on triple A games on a 1080p resolution.

I currently only have a 60hz monitor overclocked to 75hz but I may move on to 144hz when I am done with the other possible upgrades.

300-500 Euros is only what I can spare for the GPU upgrade, I'm also willing to go used if it's more budget friendly.
