Hello,

I need to know if a Thermaltake toughpower 1000w PSU will be able to support my current pc components:
-Nvidia Geforce GTX 480 VGA card
-5 GB RAM DDR2 (2 cards)
-Intel core-i5 2320
-Motherboard Intel DH61WW
-Samsung 200 GB SATA hard disk
-Hitachi 1 TB hard disk
-4 thermaltake fans
-LG DVD-Writer

I plan on using my pc primarly for gaming
Thanks

Your system would barely reach 450 watt at load ! A 1000 watts Power supply would be an overkill, best is to go with a 650 watt reputable brand and quality PSU like
- Seasonic FOCUS Plus Series SSR-650FX 650W 80+ Gold fully modular = $ 90 >> https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151186&cm_re=seasonic-_-17-151-186-_-Product
- Or : SeaSonic SSR-650RM 650W 80 PLUS GOLD Certified (semi modular= $90 with shipping included >> https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151118

Hi guys thanks for the fast reply

The thing is I already own all the components stated above, including the 1000W PSU. So I won't be spending money.
I just wanted to make sure that this PSU will be able to support my hardware, which according to what you said it will.

Thanks a lot

You are so kindly welcome mate, definitely no issues with your homebuilt PC, all components and sound and compatible, and the power supply will provide more than enough power for your system needs, enjoy your build.
