Hi I just got my new pc and I was wondering if I could oveclock the cpu or gpu without any problems. These are the components:

CPU: I5 8600k base (3.6 turbo 4,3) right now its at 4ghz
GPU: 1070Ti
PSU: 750W
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte Z370P D3
Cooler cpu: HYPER 212 EVO

Im running 4ghz no problem. Could I run 4.3ghz without any problems? And what happens if I overclock wt 4.5ghz without a liquid cooler and a really good motherboard. Is the motherboard enough good for overclocking the gpu or the cpu? Because I know that I could run 4.3Ghz easily!

Thanks

Your cpu can be easily overclocked.
How high will depend primarily on your luck in getting a good chip.
4.7 on all cores are likely.

Gradually raise the all core multiplier and run a stress test.
Leave all voltages on auto.

Monitor vcore with CPU-Z. Do not let it go past 1.4v.

Monitor temperature, 85c is about as hot as you want for a stress test.
The cpu will throttle or shut off if it senses a dangerous temperature; that is about 100c.
If you have good case airflow intake(two 120/140mm fans) your hyper212 will work decently.

When you reach your limits, back off a bit and implement speedstep and adaptive voltage.
That will reduce your multiplier and vcore when the cpu has little to do.

On the graphics card, do not bother overclocking.
Better binned chips will come on higher priced versions that already have a decent factory overclock.
