Coolermaster ml240r troubles

basically upgraded from r3 1200 to r5 2600 and decided to pickup a new liquid aio cooler, i install the cooler but the cpu is on 80 degreees celsius on idle on CAM and HWmonitor. also, the bios says that my cpu temps are at 23 degrees celsius. the rgb on pump still works too and Hw monitor keeps showing large freq changes between 1.7k and 3.8k. if anyone had a solution it would be greatly appreciated, regards,michael

The BIOS temperature is correct because I have install the R5 2600 with a couple of AIO and they hover around 21° C - 27° C in the BIOS.
Check the temps with AMD Overdrive and see the actual temps.

Could you post your system specs.

That is a known problem with moving to the new 2XXX series Ryzen's. I had the same issue when I went to my 2700X from a 1700, CAM and CoreTemp showed insane temps compared to Ryzen master as well as the Bios. Update CAM, if there is one, personally I gave up on CAM. CoreTemp is up to date and displays the correct temps.
