Hello All,

Does anyone know what non-ECC memory types can be used (and the max supported) on the HPE Proliant ML110 G9 and/or G10?

It seems their user guides don't even mention about non-ECC memory support (well, probably because they're servers), but I recently read an article about VMware home labs where the author had a Proliant ML110 G9 with 64GB non-ECC (16GB x 4 Corsair 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM 2133 PC4-17000 - CMV16GX4M1A2133C15) running with no problems.

Given the memory price these days, specially the ECC ones, I think this may be an interesting option for study labs.

Thanks.

ProLiant ML110 Gen9 supports only Registered ECC 256GB and Load reduced Registered ECC 128GB.

If you want to try the Non-ECC, you can. But do not think it will work for sure, just because it worked for the other guy. You will know only when you try it out yourself. I would recommend the Registered ECC for this server.

Refer this for compatible listing.
