For Future Compatibility and DX 12 Games, Windows 10.
But, Windows 7 is still a good operating system, and it will run games just as smooth as Windows 10 will. So, it all comes down to personal preference.

I would say Windows 10, not just for DX12 support but also longevity as support for Windows 7 ends on 1/14/2020.

10. As said 7s support is ending and very soon driver updates and software compatibility will start to become less and less. Same thing happened to XP. Even before Microsoft cut the cord to it hardware and software manufactures stopped supporting it.
