Power Supply 24-Pin connector is Flush but no click sound

Hello, I just had a hard time plugging in my 24 pin connector to my motherboard as I never heard any click sound. I was concerned I was pushing too hard as I was applying full force and not hearing any click.
However I was able to get it completely flush with the socket, but I am till worried about not hearing any click sound when I plugged it in. Is this a something I should be worried about? Thanks in advance.

Don't worry, those things fit so tightly anyway. You can also just have a look at it's latch and see if it's engaged.

I don't exactly know what engaged means, however when I try to push on the latch it doesn't seem to give way and is quite stiff to push. Would this mean its engaged?

There's a hook on cable side and raised prat on one side of socket on MB side. The hook should go over it. That's only part that may make a click sound.
