I recently bought a Intel i7 8086K is it good?

What the best motherboard and Ram for the Intel i7 8086k?

(Note :The Motherboard requires bios update apparently for this processor.)

Solution

The NH D15 can handle it no problem.

5.0 GHZ MCE.

Should be able to play at least last year's children's spelling and educational games... :)

Get some name brand 3200 MHz ram by GSkill, Corsair, etc.; no need to blow $200-$250 extra on any 4200 MHz rated nonsense....

As for motherboards, lots of folks like Asus Z370 Prime variants....less wasted money on the word 'gaming' or useless $100 wireless add-ons...

But i didnt pick i7 8700K...i wanted too, but i heard this processor coming out so i decided wait.

and
What the best COOLER for this Processor?

Its unclear if the CPU already been supported (even through they using same id)

I did not say you picked an 8700K...

But that won't stop any decent Z370 from allowing it to perform at it's best, especially as there are no other compatible mainboards for it...

Not sure if even the Noctua NH-D15 will cool the 8086 or 8700K at 5 GHz.....look for a name brand $150-$200 full size radiator rig everyone else is using....

I had no plan on overclokcing it but i just want the 5GHZ..(or simply Single Core 5GHZ) while playing game.
