Hey people. I am planning in upgrading my motherboard, processor, and ram. Im short on budget and i dont know if i should go for 1600x or 2600x(no i dont wanna buy intel coz it is really costly). I'm not going for a high-end or SLI motherboard so please suggest a good-budget combination for either 1600x or 2600x. Motherboard should be below $150 please(have to save money for processor and ddr4 ram)

Solution
Even though the 2600x and x470 combo is relatively newer, a 1600x x370 combo should be about the same performance at a lower price, since x470 mobos tend to be expensive. My suggestion is this, if your budget is tight:

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600X 3.6GHz 6-Core Processor ($198.39 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: MSI - B350 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard ($84.89 @ OutletPC)
Total: $283.28
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Also consider that the 1600x does not include a cooler, so you could shave off some bucks by getting the 1600 paired with a cooler.

Still, it is a more costly refresh, and B350 mobos will need BIOS update prior to working with 2nd generation AMD CPUs

Depends where you live , in the uk there is a substantial saving with the 1600 (which includes the full size wraith spire cooler) & you remove the possibility of bios compatibility with cheaper b350 boards.

That is a hefty price difference there, pretty much a new 240gb ssd or an upgrade from gpu wise, from a 1050ti to a 1060 6gb or rx 580.

& yes the 2600x is better , but the 1600 is now at a price point that is impossible to ignore, in the uk at least.
