So recently my PC had an issue when I installed ram so I messed up the motherboard by damaging the CMOS battery. I decided to fix this by buying new parts.
I have bought a new motherboard, a new harddrive and a new case.
I am wondering if this will fix my pc.
When my PC didn't work my cpu and GPU were running but nothing else was. I am pretty sure they are both fine.

My PC specs
I7-4970 3.6GHz 4 core
New motherboard:https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CRJSW7A?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_yo_pop_mb_pd_t2
Crucial ballistix 8Gb ram (4×2), I still have my new ram same brand 16GB(8×2)
New harddrive: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LNJBA2I
MSI R9 380
Evga 500w

I still have not built it, parts are coming tommorow I'm just wondering if this should fix my PC issues.( I will be using my new ram for this build)

@Ariewok, I wanted to make sure of a certain fix as I don't know much about CMOS battery and as I said before my new ram didn't work on that motherboard even though its compatible so I just wanted to be extra safe.

First, if it's an issue with a CMOS battery, why would you buy a whole new board? Just replace the CMOS battery. Do other motherboard testing to see if you get any signs of life first. See if you can get fans spinning, drives running, etc.

Also, just make sure that your CMOS battery is 100% dead. If you have another system available that uses the same battery number, then try swapping them. Just make sure to power everything off first :)

Those new parts should almost definitely fix everything, but I'm not so sure that they're necessary.
