Hi All,
I know I have an eons-old processor in terms of computer time; but I just did some upgrades and decided at the same time to reapply my thermal paste to my CPU. I've done this before (successfully) so I know what to do. So that's not my question.
My question is that it's been awhile since I *did* do this that I kind of forgot what good running temp ranges are for my CPU. My CPU is OC'ed to 4.2ghz (from stock 3.5ghz) and I have a water cooler.
The temps I'm getting while idle are 35C-45C. When I run a stress test with CPU-Z, the temps top out at 67C-70C.
Is this normal/good/bad? Do I need to reapply my paste again?
Don't need big explanation, just yea I'm good or for christ's sakes you're doing it wrong. hehe
