My earphones sparkle when i connect them to my pc

I recently built my first pc and everything works good. Except when I plug in my earphones, (they are samsung that came with my phone) the sound is sparkling, but in a wierd way, like on a youtube video the talking sounds good but the background sound is super bad and sparkling. i plug them in by the headphone jack in the front io. I had the same problem in my family's old pc.

When you look at the headphone plug, how many plastic bands are their embedded in the pin?? I am guessing more than two.

This may mean the L & R channels arent lining up correctly in the socket on the PC's, but the Mac and the phone are built for headphones with an extra function, such as a microphone etc built into the headphone.

This is just a guess, I have never experienced what you are describing across multiple headphone brands, models, PCs, tablets or phones.

It might even be a function that is specific to the phone they were bundled with.

I got them to work by not having it in completely. I don't think the mic works now but that doesn't matter all I wanted was the sound.
