So im stuck between RX 580 ARMOR MK2 8gb and the MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6gb. i have no clue what to go to because the 1060 has a way better core and boost clock. But the 580 has more vram. They both pretty much have the same memory clock so i don't know what to go for. Im new this kind of stuff so sorry if the answer is obvious.

You can't compare clock speeds between two cards that have completely different architectures. Both the 580 and the GTX 1060 6GB are identical in performance if you compare all games combined. Each card has it's strengths and weaknesses.

I'd go for the 580 as it is a touch faster than most 1060s and the extra 2GB of vram can help depending on what games you play, but I'd try not getting the armor version, the armor cards typically have cheap coolers vs the rest of them.

Both good choices, especially if you game at 1080p/60Hz. The 1060 is generally faster in most games, but the 580 will win in certain other ones. The difference in VRAM isn't a big issue since neither card is handicapped with their allotment. At least not at 1080p. If you game at higher rez, then opt for the 8GB 580.

When it comes to 'best', I'll have to agree with TechyInAZ. Evga has always been one of the best in the Nvidia line. And Sapphire is the tops in AMD cards. But there will be no disappointment using the MSI cards. I've had all makes of cards over the years. No problems with any of them. My MSI GTX 980 Gaming has survived several builds already.
