What CPU should I get to upgrade my i5-4690k?

So I'm close to being able to purchase a new CPU (price isn't really an issue) so I came here to ask you guys. I currently have an i5-4690k with an msi Z97 gaming 5 mobo. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, sorry if I respond late and thank you in advanced if I personally forget to do so!
Important Note: I have a Scythe Kotetsu SCKTT-1000 cooler

4690k is fine with gaming ,but if you want multi tasking , ryzen is a really good deal.

If you are looking to just upgrade the CPU, then 4790k is pretty much you best option.
If you are looking to upgrade the platform, 8700k or the recently launched 8086k(since money is not an issue here) are the best options.

4790k would drop right onto your mobo. but anything newer needs a new mobo as well as new ddr4 ram. so factor that into your upgrade budget.

Yes, it is LGA1151. You will need z370 board + ddr4 ram for that kind of upgrade.
