Cooler near Capacitors

I have a Asus B250m-Plus MB with a 6700k and a cryorig C7.

I need a low profile cooler as it is in a 2u Rackmount case.

Only issue I noticed on this MB is the Cryorig is toughing looks like the capacitors, Now shouldn't these be level if not below the CPU so it does not stop the cooler touching the CPU fully.

Temps are about 35 degrees with some strange readings in Speedfan for AUXTIN but these seem to be error in software.

Is it better to change MB to something else.

Thanks

simply touching them is ok or hovering just above them.

but they should not be pushing down on them at all. as you noted, this may keep the heatsink from seating fully onto the cpu and also possible is that the extra force on the capacitors could damage them or even pop one off the mobo. would take a lot of force to do it, but it is a possibility if you had to push down on them to secure the cpu heatsink. over time, that downforce can do some damage.

but if the heatsink is simply jjjjuuuusssssttttt touching them, then it is nothing to worry about.

Thanks, I think the weird readings from Speedfan and another bit of software was making me concerned the cooler wasn't touching the CPU fully.

I think I will have to run a stress test and see what happens, I had it on another Asus H110 board and was fine hitting 90c after 1 1/2 hrs so not bad so will see f I get the same.

I will get a piece of paper and see if it is touching and do some stress testing.
