Hello,

I am currently wanting to upgrade my PC and the biggest thing I am unsure of is if I'm gunna need a fully rebuild, just a couple pieces or possibly my current rig could handle the new card. I've gotten many different answers and thought that I'd try asking on here as well for some direction.

Looking to upgrade my card to a GTX 1070 or a Ti if I find a good deal.

My current Build:

Graphics Card: Geforce GTX 770 2GB

Processor: Intel Core i5 4670K Unlocked Quad Core 3.4GHZ

RAM: Corsair 8GB (4x2)

Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VI Gene mATIX LGA1150 Z87 DDR3 SATA3 USB 3.0 DVI HDMI

PSU: Corsair 550W 12V

Thanks for any help or pointers you can shoot me.

At 1080p 60Hz you would most likely be happy with a 1060 6gb, the 1070 is as far as you can really utilise without upgrading the monitor. If you do look at upgrading to a high Hz monitor you will find yourself wanting a cpu upgrade to get the most out of your gpu.
What resolution and Hz is your monitor? I have the same cpu OC’d to 4.3GHz and it’s ok for 60Hz/FPS gaming but would be rather limiting in the latest games if trying to run 100+ FPS for a 144Hz+. In some games I do see drops below 60fps at times due cpu maxing out.
