Why is my epic games launcher/youtube speed better than steam download speed?

i get download speeds of upto 10MBps on epic and around 70,000 kbps on youtube but my steam download speed is max 600kBps. so is my isp throtteling my steam speed? i pay for 5MBps. and i even tried changing server region to mexico which my friend recommended and i used to get upto 11.0MBps on steam with that but only for 3 to 5 days after i request my Isp to reset my package but that is temporary.

Is the particular Steam content very popular at the time of your download? It could be on their end if their servers are overloaded. Otherwise you might need to ask your ISP, and you might need to wiggle your way to a higher-level tech than to a first-line ticket-monkey to get a good answer.

nope all of the games download at same speed. today i again downloaded fortnite on epic games launcher and gave me 10.2 MBps avg. whereas i tried steam before and after downloading fortnite and i got around 550KBps avg.

Either your ISP is throttling them, or Steam servers are extremely busy. You say you used to get much faster speeds on Steam; do you recall if anything changed? If you don't already have it, it might be worth going to www.malwarebytes.org and downloading the free version of their anti-malware scanner.
