My Current specs are : gtx 960 - i5 6600 - Motherboard: Asus h170-pro - 1440x900 75hz [2007] Monitor

Planning to get
1080p 144hz monitor
palit gtx 1070
Ryzen r5 1600

Questions :
1- can my mother board handle all of this ?
2- Does it worth the upgrade [i will play 1080p] i mean r5 1600 instead of i7 7700 .. this can let me save like 130$ ... i saw alot of benchmarks .. the r5 1600 did the job with low cpu usage

3- r5 1600 vs r5 1600x does the ( X ) mean that u can overclock it Like the (K) in intel or i'm wrong

4-Should i get gtx 1080 or it's going to be a waste of money since i can save 100$ by the 1070
i mean 1070 will do the job on 1080p ?

games : Battlefield series - cod - r6 -lol - witcher ...... etc

i really appreciate the answers :D

No. Ryzen cpu requires a new motherboard.

I'd suggest upgrading GPU first. Then look at performance and decide, if you need to upgrade that too. i5-6600 is pretty stong cpu. I don't think you need to upgrade it (unless you're into game streaming).

GTX 1070 is plenty for 1080p@144Hz. I'd consider GTX 1080 with 2k monitor.

thx for the reply
1- any other good cpu and on budget under 200$ that plugs into my motherboard ?
2- When i play battlefield 1 i get 100% cpu usage and low gpu usage with gtx 960 so i think i need to upgrade or i'm wrong with something ?

Because Asus h170-pro supports only 6th and 7th gen of Intel CPUs.
It doesn't support any other generation of Intel cpus and doesn't support any AMD cpu (Ryzen is AMD).

You're getting high cpu usage because of resolution of your monitor. With higher resolution workload shifts more to GPU.

so what should i do in my case
1-get 1080p 144hz monitor + stay with i5 6600 and get a gtx 1070 ?
2-get 1080p monitor + stay with gtx 960 + up my cpu to i7 7700
3-stay with 1440x900 75 monitor [2007] and get gtx 1070 + new mother board and r5 1600 ?
4- 1080p 144hz + gtx 1080 + i5 6600 ?
:( omg i'm lost

1st choice - most definitely.
Maybe 4th choice, if you decide to upgrade to 2k monitor later.
