New CPU (Update?)

So I just bought a Athlon x4 880k for this really old computer I have. (Yes I know it's not a very good processor, you don't have to tell me to get a new one.) and it's working as expected. But since I installed it, I've gotten 2 BSOD's now.

The first crash had to deal with "Ntfs.sys" and the second crash was "KERNAL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE"

I want to fix this before it gets even more out of hand, and I realize that both have to deal with corruption of some sort. Do I need to update my bios or...?

The motherboard I'm using is a MSI A78M-E35 and the version It's running is V30.3.

Thanks in advance.

My guess is that this was an old build, possibly running an older version of windows and you just replaced the cpu? That error is usually caused by corrupted/faulty drivers etc. If thats the case perhaps installing the newest (well as new as possible) chipset drivers could resolve the issue otherwise a clean install of windows may be required.

I'm afraid those are DRIVES bugs or kernel. Try out and check SMART:

if drive is ok then looks like windows damaged some files, some recovery might help, but I think clean install will do.

Well I checked my chipset drivers and it tells me that it's up to date, plus I am running the latest Windows 10. But
If that means to do a "fresh start" I will try that, thanks for the help!

Used the application and said my drive is okay, so I guess I'll just try a clean install of windows and see if it is the solution. Thanks for the help!
