ip config not valid after setting duplex to half. help please

ram: kingston ddr4 16gb
gpu: nvidia gforce gtx980
mobo: msi z270 gaming m5
psu: corsair 850

ok so my internet just suddenly went out and was looping identifying and unplugged cable i fixed that after setting duplex to full 10mb as opposed to auto but after that i now get "ethernet dosnt have a valid ip configuration" now after 2 hours of trying to fix it im at a loss.

i have tried to use 3 cables but because of length reason i have a female to female adapter between 2 cables i believe this is the failure point since when i try the laptop inline before the adapter it works but it does not after my desktop also dosnt work after the adapter but i cannot test the desktop cause of the length issue also changing the duplex did help somewhat changed from an unplugged cable error(red x) to the mentioned ethernet dosnt have a valid ip (yellow triangle)

yes i have now literally drilled a hole through the wall to make the cable i have reach and tossed the joiners. as soon as i plugged the cable in without a joiner it worked like a charm just weird since it worked for about a year then suddenly the joiner dies.
