Hey there.
It's been like 2 months since I assembled this new rig and it's been running good with OC. Had +132 MHz freq clock (XSplit indicates a max frequency of ~2150 ingame) with GPU Tweak and everything was nice and steady.
Recently I started to notice GPU failures while gaming. Happening around 5~10mins of gameplay. When it comes to Need for Speed Payback, well that even takes seconds. Completely confused, reduced OC value to +102MHz, other games are fine but Payback still crashes in some in-game menus. Really need help, is my mobo faulty? Have I burnt anything? Is it a driver bug? Here we go the specs:
Recent actions which might be good for diagnosis (Btw idk when the thing actually started happening):
So, would be glad to help me find the issue.

Completely confused, reduced OC value to +102MHz, other games are fine but Payback still crashes in some in-game menus. Really need help, is my mobo faulty? Have I burnt anything? Is it a driver bug? Here we go the specs:
■ Motherboard: Asus Prime z370-A
■ CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K
■ VGA: Asus ROG Strix GTX1060 6GB OC (on PCIe16 slot 1)
■ PSU: CoolerMaster Masterwatt 750W Bronze
Recent actions which might be good for diagnosis (Btw idk when the thing actually started happening):
■ Changed mobo optimisation from TPU I to TPU II (Turbo 5.0 GHz hyperthreading enabled)
■ Enabled OC range enhancement through GPU Tweak
■ Disabled OC range enhancement through GPU Tweak
■ Installed GeForce driver 288 + CUDA SDK 9.1
■ At this point I noticed that I can increase the clock way higher than +132MHz, not as much as OCRE, but yea
■ Increased core OC to +152MHz (ow no, GPU fail! Nice thing is, the only game that could sustain that OC was Tom Clancy's The Division, no crash, no fail, full load)
■ Reduced core OC to +132MHz
■ Did some stress testing on both CPU and GPU
■ Started playing GTA V (GPU fail here)
■ Started playing Need for Speed Payback (GPU fail here)
■ Uninstalled XSplit gamecaster
■ Installed GeForce driver 297 (No change in failures)
■ Gave up, playing The Division (GPU fail here) (WTF??)
■ Reduced core OC to +102MHz (Almost good, NFSPB still GPU-fails in some menus)
■ Disabled Windows gamebar
So, would be glad to help me find the issue.
