Hey, recently I've been struggling with my pc, after I haven't been on my gaming computer for a while I started to install my updates over night and the next morning I got weird blue lines and my resolution got set to 800x600? Now I turn my pc on to a black screen without a cursor and I've tried unplugging all parts and still the same results, black screen. I'm using windows 7 gtx 1060 6gb and athlon x4 880k 8gb ram and not sure on power supply but it's about 550w gold +.

Are you able to see the bios splash screen and can you get in to the bios? If you can't, try reseating the graphics card. If reseating the graphics card does not work, take the graphics card out of the build and see if your onboard integrated graphics works. If it does, you likely have a hardware issue with your graphics card. Open a support case with your manufacturer to get it replaced for RMA.

I am not able to go to the bios, no and I have tried taking my graphics card out and I'm sure the gpu isnt the problem since I has the same outcome with the dvi cable ( have tried different cables ) in the motherboard instead

Just to confirm, you are unable to get into the bios when the monitor is plugged directly into the motherboard's on board graphics. If this is the case, have you tried another monitor for troubleshooting? Your issue could be with the monitor. Turn off your computer. Unplug the power to the monitor and plug it back in. Then turn the computer back on.

The only thing left is to take the components out of the case, reassemble them to see if you can get to the bios.
Other than that, it appears to be a motherboard problem, so if the hardware is less than 1 year old, you could contact the manufacturer to get a RMA and make use of the warranty. Good luck to you.
