I am looking to buy a pre built pc and I wanted to make sure it can run the new fallout game, fallout 76. The computer has a AMD Ryzen 5 1600 in it I looked it up (because I am still learning about this stuff lol) and it is a 6 core processor. After doing this I looked up the requirements for fallout 76 it says it requires a AMD FX-8320, after looking this up I noticed it was an older 8 core processor. My question is. Is the newer Ryzen 5 1600 even though it is a 6 core processor capable of running the game even though it calls for a 8-core processor. Thank you for taking time to answer my question sorry if it is a dumb one I am new to this, and find it very fun and interesting to learn. Thank you!

Most games only utilize 2-4 Threads. The old FX8320 has a VERY weak single core performance, compared to the newer Ryzen 5 1600 with much more improved gaming performance. It is by far superior to any FX processor.

If a potent GPU comes in that PC, the Ryzen 5 1600 will be able to play Fallout 76
