I’m planning on upgrading my i5 4690k to a i5 8600k with 16 gb ddr4 3200mhz ram, in the future I’m also planning to upgrade my gtx 970. I don’t know exactly what type of of power supply I have but I says 650 on the side so I’m suggesting 650 Watts. Will 650 watts psu be enough for this upgrade and possible future gpu upgrade?

Full system specs
Motherboard : Asus Prime Z370-P
RAM : 16gb (2x8) 3200mhz HyperX
CPU : i5 8600k
GPU : msi gtx 970 (overclocked)
Storage : 145gb SSD and 2 tb HDD
Cooler : Be quiet!
System : Windows 10 64bit
Power supply : 650 watts

Something like that,

Thanks already

What upgrades will need 650w? Even an 8700k + GTX 1080ti can run fine on a 550w psu, and components are only getting more efficient.
With higher wattage power supplies you often lose money/worse quality psu, louder, and more damage in a fault. There aren’t any benefits to a 650w PSU.

Look for quality. Try find a Bitfenix Whisper, Corsair RMX, Evga g3, Seasonic Focus Plus, be Quiet straight power 11.
