I just bought a new Ryzen 7 1700x and replace my Ryzen 3 it booted and everything was running great at first then all of a sudden it shut down. I thought maybe I'm overheating it Could something else have happened? I did do the pea method of paste, but my fan was slipping around when I tried to screw in the base. Could that of timebombed my cpu? (Also side question I need a better screwdriver to fit into my computer better, any suggestions?)

It would be highly difficult to mess up a thermal paste application enough to cause that kind of issue. Have you been able to start the system again? List your system specs. pre-built or self-built?
