No Sata-Data Cable in my non-modular psu

I am building my first PC and was wondering how to route cables from the power supply to the hard drive. My psu has SATA cables but that only fills the one slot. the other being (according to the internet) a SATA data slot, the issue is that this type of cord is not connected to my non-modular power supply.

It should come in the motherboard box. And the cables connect to your motherboard, not to the power supply. Consult your motherboard manual to see which SATA ports are controlled by the chipset itself and plug the cables into those ports.

Thats right. Hard drives get power from psu, the data cables go to the motherboard.

SATA data cables are available in a variety of lengths and have straight or right angle connectors.
