Hey everyone, I have just started building my own PC. I started out with a Pentium G4560 and the EVGA GTX 1050 SC. I upgraded my mobo and cpu. I was wondering everyone else's opinion on what i should upgrade next. whether it be the cooler. get an nvme ssd or go for something like a gtx 1060. I really want to upgrade my gpu but the prices have been crazy high and i don't know how much of a difference there will be. i play pubg 1080 at about 85fps. thanks ahead of time.

CPU: i7 7700k
Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO
GPU: EVGA GTX 1050 2GB SC Edition
HDD: 1TB 7200RPM Western Digital Blue x2 (Had an extra from an old pc, not used)
RAM: 2X4GB Patriot DDR4@2400
Motherboard: Asus MAXIMUS IX APEX EATX

Solution
I would suggest you grab the following, in order:
250gb or 500gb 850evo or 960evo SSD
GTX 1060 or higher (your CPU will effectively not be a bottleneck, you you can go all the way up to dual 1080TIs of you want)
Another 8gb of RAM (same model as to avoid issues)
Dark rock pro 4 or similar class of cooler

Also, what PSU and case do you have?

Surprising an EATX motherboard has 2 Dimm slots! I suppose it helps overclocking, though in most cases I think its a hindrance rather than a help! At some point you will need to upgrade to 16gb, though, so you should probably just buy a full 2x8gb kit!

Yea it has the dimm slot for the m.2 ssd's which I plan to run raid 0 in later. And my mobo has to 8pin cpu connectors but my power supply only has one. Is there an adapter/splitter I can buy?

What power supply model is it? It might not be enough to drive your system.
