Worried about GPU temps during gaming.

Hello everyone! I have this pc build https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/TbcPXP (keep in mind the gpu is used) and I have some concerns.

This is my first ever pc build and when I play games like quake champions and others the temps rise to the mid 70s with settings reduced. When I max them there more near the 77s, 78s. This has me worried as I have heard from friends that this can damage the gpu. It is old but I still thought I wouldnt have this problem.

For example I am looking to play higher demanding games like the witcher 3 and I am worried it will raise the temp to above 80. I would like to play on high settings and if the fan speeds are increased on the gpu (via msi afterburner) it does get annoying.

Any advice to make me feel at ease is greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Anything less than 80 is totally fine. Even low 80s is pretty safe.

If you want to lower temperatures without cranking up GPU fan speed, I'd start by making sure the graphics card and your PC in general are clean and free of dust. Other than that, you could try adding more case fans (4 should be plenty I think).
