hi everyone, I was just curious as to what drive should I install windows on? here are my 2 choices, the 1st drive is a sandisk 512gb 2.5" ssd. the 2nd drive is a wd black 256gb m.2 pci-e nvme ssd drive. I currently have my system on the 2.5" ssd because I installed the Lenovo factory image and it by default installs windows onto the 2.5" ssd. I would of had to take the 2.5" drive out of the laptop or just unhook it to install the image onto the m.2 ssd.

Yes, basic SATA drivers are built into the BIOS (I am not sure about NVME drivers), so even if the OS wont boot, you should still be able to access the drive.

NVME would be faster, but the SATA SSD safer if you have any issues that stops you from booting into Windows in the future.

NVME support was partially bjorked in the last MicroGit* Win10 update, although a later patch fixed it again, however there is no telling what the next update might do!!
