ive been looking into how to get the 3000mhz that my 8gb ram should have, as right now im only getting 2133mhz.
i turn xmp on, make sure the 4 timing that is on the ram card are correct and increase the voltage to the recomemded voltage on the card.
when i save and exit, my pc will turn on, but 2 seconds later will crash and turn off. i cannot access the bios.
i have found that removing the motherboard battery resets the bios, and i am then able to boot again, however the ram is still running at 2133mhrz.
can anyone surgest why my pc cant handle it please. does the motherboard or cpu not support changes to ram speeds or overclocking? should i make changes to the timings or change voltage? do i need to increase cpu voltage?
my pc specs are:
Intel i5 7400 3ghz processor
geforce gtx 1050 ti windforce oc 4g
gigabyte ga-h110m-s2h motherboard
corsair vengeance 8gb ram ddr4 3000mhz
and the ram timings are;
15 17 17 35
and the voltage for ram is: 1.35v.
thank you for any input at all in advance and i will answer anyones comments,tips or questions.
