Liquid Cooling CPU vs. Fan Cooling CPU

Hi all! So I am in the process of building my own PC and I'm having a ton of fun, but I've stumbled upon a happy issue.
I bought a fan cooler (212 Evo) early on in my part-acquirement stage. I was really confident with the purchase because I've heard numerous people talk about how reliable of a fan it it. However, one of my last build purchases was a case, which just so happened to come with a $60 Corsair liquid cooler for free as a gift!
So I'm currently debating which one I should pursue. After researching online, I've read about the liquid being harder to install and adding an increased danger factor to the system due to leaks/pump failures, and I've read that fan noise can get annoying. I was just wondering if you guys had any thoughts on what I should do.

Thanks for any advice!
J

Addendum:
For anyone who may want to know the actual coolers, it is the CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 120mm Quiet Edition Liquid CPU Cooler - Intel Only (CW-9060006-WW) vs. Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan

i have used both 212 evo and several AIOs and now full open loop and i can say most of the time you will get better performance with an AIO (depending on the AIO of course) than with 212 evo and anyone that says thats not true has not used AIOs enough or is to scared to try an AIO.
